Reasons you should consider fee-only
financial planning.
Objectivity. No conflicts of interest, no products to sell
you, no commissions, no hidden costs or charges, etc.
Experience. Fee-only planners in the private practice of
financial planning have only their skills, knowledge, experience,
and value judgment to offer. We have to be good.
Everything is disclosed. There is no “fine print”.
No surprises.
No sales pressure. No kidding.
There are many financial planners, brokers, insurance agents,
and bankers offering financial planning. Many of them have
textbook knowledge and provide the “cookie cutter calculator” answer.
But very few have the experience or the knowledge to offer
you the Real Life Answer™ you need. Nearly all of them
are conflicted by the need to charge you a commission or
fee based on the sale of a product or program offered by
the company they work for. You always have to ask yourself
what the motivation might be behind any of their recommendations.
